  8. Fresh Lime Sorbet

  10. 1 cup sugar
  11. 3/4 cup fresh lime juice
  12. 6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  13. 1 tablespoon egg white
  14.  
  15. Combine 3/4 cup water and the sugar and cook, stirring, until the sugar
  16. dissolves; cool. Combine the remaining water, lime juice, lemon juice and egg
  17. white. Add the sugar syrup; chill.
  18. Freeze according to the instructions for your ice cream maker. Transfer to
  19. freezer containers for storage. Makes about 1 quart.
